Malta Motorsport Federation refer to the Malta Motor Recreation and Education Park project that was mentioned in the Budget Speech 2017. The Federation reiterates its full support to the government who should decide immediately to take the next step closer for development of this project for the benefit of the local motorsport community. Such facility will help our athletes to improve their skills in a safer facility. This project will also generate new form of tourism which will contribute directly in the economic growth with ripple effect across all sectors.
Furthermore, the Federation welcomes the introduction of stricter penalties in particular for drink driving contraventions, and for those who smoke in vehicles carrying children.
The Motorsport community looks forward to the governments next steps in making this much awaited project a reality.
