The Malta Motorsport Federation (MMF) notifies that further to our notice dated 15th March 2014 and due to the conflicting statements arising after this notification from the organisers of the Time Attack event being held at Racalmulto, declaring that this event is a Non Competitive practice runs activity, as per notice on the Autodrome Valle dei Templi Facebook page : “TIME ATTACK RACALMUTO”, trattandosi di prove libere non agonistiche, sono da ritenersi aperte a tutti i piloti, licenziati e non” translated as follows: “TIME ATTACK RACALMUTO”, a non-competitive practice runs, which are open to all drivers licenced or not” the MMF is seeking further clarification with Dott. Marco Ferrari after this declaration by the organisers of Time Attack, since Dott Ferrari informed us that this event is a Competitive motor racing event thus it has to abide with the normal motor racing regulations.
Until such issue is sorted out, the MMF decided that, it will issue Free Three (3) Months MMF Racing Licence to all drivers competing in the Time Attack event held at Racalmulto. MMF is taking this decision since it has always promoted the observance of the Regulations and is not ready to let drivers in risk while such confusion on this particular event is going on.
All those who wish to avail from this option should contact the ICC TATM officials by not later than noon of Wednesday 19th March 2014. No applications will be accepted after this deadline for those competing in Racalmulto next weekend. To apply for a racing licence, kindly visit www.maltamotorsport.org and download the application from the appropriate links including the Race True eLearning anti-doping course. MMF would like to take this occasion to once again wish any success to all racing drivers who compete abroad.
