The free time attack that opens the Malta National Virtual Karting Championship 2026. Set a lap, finish in the top 10, and you take a seat in the final. Entry is free and open to ages 12+.

The challenge

One track. One kart. Your fastest clean lap. The qualifier runs at Wackersdorf in the Birel X30 by AC Karting. Practice as much as you like inside the window. Only your best time counts.

What you need

Virtual Karting runs on Assetto Corsa. You need to own Assetto Corsa, add the kart and track below, then join the WPR server to set your time. If you don’t own a simulator, you can book a session at our facility to set your fastest lap time.

• To join, open Assetto Corsa, go to the server list and search “Malta National”.

How you qualify

The qualifier window is open from 23 June, 10:00, to 7 July, 23:59 2026. Drive as many laps as you want. Your single fastest clean lap is your result. The top 10 advance to the Malta National Virtual Karting Championship.

Eligibility

Open to Maltese citizens and Maltese residency card holders.

What is at stake

A seat in the national karting championship and a share of the €5,000 prize pool, paid every round and again to the overall top three. Part of €15,000 across the three national championships. Championship participants must pay a €165 entry fee to join the championship.
