The Malta Motorsport Federation (MMF) President Tonio Cini has been appointed member of the FIA ASN Development Task Force by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). The Task Force was founded by FIA President Jean Todt and is composed of 17 members from around the world, having the main task of sustaining the global growth of Motorsport.
The ASN Development Task Force, is one of the FIA’s core areas of focus for the coming years, which will establish a strategic and focused approach for a Motor Sport Development department that will be tasked with supplying administrative support to ASNs, implementing FIA decisions and co-ordinating development activities and plans to help in the global progression of the sport from the grassroots level.
The Task Force will work in conjunction with the World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) and all meetings will be held at the same place of the World Motor Sport Council meetings to give direct recommendations to the World Council. In this regards during this year 2014, the Task Force and WMSC meetings are planned in Marrakech in Morocco, Munich in Germany, Beijing in China and Doha in Qatar.
